Actually safety razors can be carried on airlines now, and there is absolutely no problem with electric shavers, I do it all the time.

I use a mustache groomer thing (I'm a girl) and my hubby uses one too. You can definitely use it down there. Just be careful! I think you should just crop the pubes really short and then remove all of it on the testicles. Women prefer that! And I don't think you're queer. Us ladies do appreciate a man with good grooming! It makes it a better experience when we're down there :-)

I've found that the Norelco Brand really knows what they're doing when it comes to electric shavers. They claim to have this "Lift and Cut" technology which supposedly pulls the hair up a little before cutting it, and then after the hair is cut it supposedly goes a little bit back under the skin, which essentially means you have a little extra time before you have to shave again. It sounds painful, but it's not. However, you will probably need to give yourself a break-in period when switching from a manual razor to an electric one. Your skin is not used to the change and it will feel unusually different. It might be irritated the first couple of times. After awhile though, you'll become such a pro at it that you can probably finish your whole face in less than 2 minutes. That's the major benefit of electric razors....they're FAST. No prep time, just turn it on and go.

And, if you're often pressed for time, spend the extra couple bucks and get one that recharges itself when plugged in, but will work without the cord.

As for the cons, well, there's a couple. The blades will need to be changed every 6 months to one year, depending on the thickness of your stubble, and the second big one is that it's not as close a shave as a manual razor. For important occasions when you need to be smooth, make sure you keep that old dinosaur around. However, you can always use your electric to get close, and then finish with a quick manual shave. That works great! Best of luck in your journey into the realm of electric shavers.

Arrived with a small dent at one side of the foil, causes occasional nicks. Would have returned it if I had paid more, but can live with it for now.

if the blades get dull, or you get a tear in the foils.

Most shavers are sort of self sharpening. But in either case, once a year couldn't hurt. I've got a pretty tough, thick beard, and once a year is usually enough to keep my razor nice.

I bought this product for the first time about 1 month ago. While I really like the basic shave that the unit provides, and I also like the automatic cleaning station, you should not buy this product for 2 reasons.

1) I have bought two of these razors in the past month. In both cases, the battery died within 2 weeks. Whether charged directly through the cord, or as part of the cleaning station, after 2 weeks, a battery charge only provides 30-45 seconds of shaving time. I called Braun today, and they acknowledged that they are having a problem with the batteries. Don't buy this product.

2) The sideburn trimmer is really poorly designed. To use it, you have to hold the whole shaver at a 90 degree angle to your face, which prevents you from being able to see if you're going to get a straight cut. Very bad design, and much worse than on my 2 prior Braun razors, where the sideburn trimmer worked great. I'm not sure why they tried to fix a problem that didn't exist. (I was going to tolerate it because I have a separate trimmer than I can use, but if I didn't, then that design alone would probably keep me from purchasing this product.)

I was given a Braun shaver for xmas which I didn't use until the end of January. Today, March 11, 2010, I gave up and used my 10 year old Norelco. For the first time since when I started with the Braun, I got a decent shave even though it is past time for new rotarty blades for the Norelco. With the Braun you must run the shaver over your beard 4 -5 times to get a lousy shave, the 10 yr old Norelco does it in less than half the time.

Today I tried to contact Braun, a waste of time. The Android hangs up before you can talk to a real live person. The email option only gives you a chance for a review.

I'M so happy I still have my Norelco.

I have used Braun previously and loved it. Went to a Norelco then figured I would retry another Braun. I did not think it gave that great of a shave. Having to continually go over and over some spots to get them clean. It is still loud and the on off button being on the side is annoying. Having to sent it back to Braun was a surprise also as Amazon would not take it back before the 30 day trial was up. Think I will stick with the triple header from now on.

Good performing shaver. Excellent build quality. Contours the face while providing a smooth shave with no irritation. Gives a much better shave than my panasonic which seems to have inferior cutting blades. Much more quick and comfortable to use and glides over the face while cutting. Braun makes very nice shavers and are highly recommended.
